If you would like to report a crime or suspicious activity, there are several options:
EMERGENCIES

  • To report an emergency, call 911
NON-EMERGENCY INCIDENTS
  • To report a non-emergency incident or crime, you can call the Sheriff's Office at (270)821-5661.  You will be able to speak to a deputy by phone, or have a deputy contact you in person.
  • You can use our Online Citizen Report Form to report minor criminal offenses, reports for insurance purposes, and suspicious activity.
  • You may report a crime or suspicious activity in person, during normal business hours, at the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, 56 N. Main St., Madisonville, KY 42431.
ILLEGAL DRUG ACTIVITY
  • To  report illegal drug activity in Hopkins County, you can call the Hopkins County Sheriff's Narcotics Detective at (270)821-5661.
  • You can report illegal drug activity Online Drug Report Form.
The Citizens Online Report form gives you the ability to relay information to the Sheriff's Office without having to drive to the office, or without contacting the office.  The information can be printed from your computer for your records, and when the Sheriff's Office receives it, a Deputy will take the information and generate a report using information you provide.  After submitting the report, you may be contacted by a Deputy in response to your information, and a Deputy may follow up with you in regards to your report with possible questions.  These reports will be pulled daily.
